For an International Computer Company -- PSG resources joined a project team to develop and replace an existing on-line product and services catalog application originally implemented on mainframes.  The project began on an Oracle Database with Oracle's PL/SQL as the server development tool and Visual Basic as the client development tool.  PSG's initial role in the project was to provide Oracle installation DBA consulting services, train the in-house DBA, and assist the development team with database development concepts.  As project requirements changed, PSG was asked to be responsible for the development of "scratch" (a combination of views, triggers, and stored procedures that override Oracle's insert, update, and delete processing), provide on-the-job training for the development team in SL, PL/SQL database triggers and stored procedures, and assist the development team with Oracle related issues.
